Description du poste

3D CAD Engineer – Advanced Modeling & PLM Development - Paris
Location: Boulogne, Paris (Hybrid)
Overview
Join our 3D GeoShape CAD team to help build next-generation, cloud-based CAD applications for the global PLM market. You will contribute to the development of intelligent modeling, surfacing, assembly, and direct-editing capabilities, working with modern web technologies and large-scale industrial workflows.
Key Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced 3D modelling and assembly algorithms for large-scale geometry handling, visualisation, and analysis.
Develop core features for parametric, direct-edit, and Class A surfacing workflows, supporting automation, rule-based modelling, and intuitive user experiences.
Create efficient data structures and algorithms to optimise loading, interference checking, pathfinding, and dynamic simulation.
Contribute to PLM-integrated workflows, including versioning, configuration management, BOM management, and collaborative design across distributed environments.
Work closely with product management, UX, geometry kernel, visualisation, constraint solver, and cloud engineering teams to deliver high-performance CAD applications.
Support continuous improvement of software architecture, coding standards, and overall product quality.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex geometric or workflow issues across multiple configurations and platforms.

Qualifications

Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a CAD-related discipline.
5+ years’ experience developing industrial CAD/CAE/CAM/PLM software solutions.
Experience with geometry kernels (CGM, Parasolid, ACIS) and/or constraint solver engines (DCM).
Familiarity with PLM ecosystems such as CATIA, NX, Teamcenter, or 3DEXPERIENCE.
Knowledge of Bezier/NURBS mathematics, Class A surfacing, parametric modelling, or direct-edit technologies (e.g., Synchronous Technology, Onshape, SpaceClaim).
Understanding of industrial design workflows in automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing sectors.

Preferred Attributes

Experience with low-code/no-code modelling logic or rule-based design automation.
Proven track record in performance optimisation and geometry visualisation for complex assemblies.
