Joining us means working in a privileged environment within a particularly diverse and open professional community, benefiting from welcome and inclusion schemes, training and internal mobility. It means participating in an academic, scientific and human adventure. It means committing to meeting the challenges of the 21st century.Join the Institute of Molecular Sciences ( ISM ) – of the University of Bordeaux!ISM brings together a community of organic and physical-chemical researchers interested in molecular structures, and working on their design, synthesis, characterization, reactivity and analysis in various environments. The Institute's expertise is based on a number of key skills: theorists in quantum chemistry, molecular and reaction dynamics, synthetic organic chemists, physical-chemical experimentalists (spectroscopy, photochemistry, molecular recognition and analysis), working in 10 research groups and 3 technical platforms. As part of the CoCat-Light project, funded by the National Research Agency (ANR), we are recruiting a Post-Doctoral Researcher in Organic Chemistry M/W.This project focuses on the self-assembly of co-catalysts from photoredox/HAT catalytic processes. It aims to study and develop an innovative supramolecular photocatalytic methodology for generating, in mild conditions and with unprecedented efficiency, chlorine atoms by monoelectronic oxidation of chloride ions.Main activities:You will be in charge of synthesizing organic photocatalysts, characterizing their complexing properties, and their photoreactivity.# Organic SynthesisYou carry out the multi-step synthesis of organic chromophoresYou characterize chromophores: NMR, UV-Vis, fluorescence, electrochemistry, ...# Supramolecular chemistryYou characterize interactions at play in supramolecular complexes# PhotoreactivityYou characterize the photoreactivity of complexesYou are evaluating the photostability of complexesYou contribute to the scientific dissemination of results within the research group and through articles.Where to applyE-mail job-ref-vxs76vkaui@emploi.beetween.comRequirementsResearch Field Chemistry » Organic chemistry Education Level PhD or equivalentSkills/QualificationsHolder of a PhD in Organic chemistry, you have ideally already worked on photocatalyzation for the functionalization of alkanes or in an approaching subject. You are rigorous and autonomous in your workYou master organic synthesis, supramolecular chemistry and photoredox catalysis techniquesYou are proficient in English (level C1 / B2) in a multicultural work contextIf you recognize yourself, apply quickly!Specific RequirementsYou'll have to comply with the Working Law in France.Languages ENGLISH Level GoodAdditional InformationGross monthly salary: from 2750€ to 3090€ according to the grid50 days of annual leave from the first year75% of the cost of a Gironde public transport pass coveredRemote working possible according to needs and organization of the serviceContribution to private healthcare insurance of 15€ / monthSubsidised mealsLeisure, sports and cultural activities for all staffDisabled-friendly establishmentPossibility of staff parkingSustainable mobility package for commuting between home and workWelcome programme and training coursesEligibility criteriaNB: the position is based in a laboratory in the Restrictive Zone, which requires an investigation prior to hiring, which can take up to 8 weeks.Selection processApplications are reviewed as they arrive.Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted by the Recruitment Officer for a first pre-qualification phone conversation.
