It means participating in an academic, scientific and human adventure. It means committing to meeting the challenges of the 21st century.
Join the Institute of Cardiac Rhythm Diseases (IHU Liryc), from the University of Bordeaux!
This IHU is invested with a quadruple mission of research, care, innovation and teaching, at the service of the patient. It aims to better understand and treat electrical dysfunctions of the heart that are the cause of many cardiovascular diseases representing nearly a third of deaths worldwide.
As part of the national CARDIO‑LAMIN project, we are recruiting a Post‑Doctoral Researcher whose work will focus on the identification of mechanistic biomarkers and risk prediction in cardiolaminopathy (LMNA).
Mission
Your mission will be to design and conduct studies aimed at characterizing the electrophysiological, structural and inflammatory remodeling related to LMNA mutations. You will integrate multimodal data: imaging, signals, Omics, clinical, and contribute to analyses for risk prediction.
Experimentation & imaging

You implement acquisitions (optical mapping, micro‑CT) on relevant tissues/organs and models
You optimize sampling, marking and tissue preparation protocols
You ensure the quality, traceability and initial analysis of data

Data integration & analysis

You integrate imaging data, electrophysiological signals, Omics and clinical information
You set up reproducible analysis pipelines
You contribute to the development of indicators and biomarkers and their cross‑validation

Transfer & project management

You contribute to the production of deliverables, meetings, reports and the preparation of publications
You interact with partners (clinical, modelling, preclinical) and with technology platforms
You participate in internal training/mentoring and scientific dissemination actions

You may be required to supervise Master’s degree or Engineer interns.
Profil
Holder of a PhD degree in physiology, biomedical sciences, bioengineering, imaging, or related field, you have a first research experience (research engineer welcome) in cardiology.

You are autonomous, rigorous, organized
You have a sense of quality, clear communication, a collaborative spirit, and a taste for the translational environment
You are familiar with experimentation in cardiac physiology, tissue/organ imaging or electrophysiology (at least one of these areas)
You know how to analyse scientific data; good reproducibility practices
You are proficient in Python and/or R (data analysis, imaging/signal), imaging suites (Fiji, ImageJ, 3D software), version management tools (Git), collaborative suites (Overleaf, Office)
Fluency in English is desired (level C1/B2) in a multicultural work context

Basics in multimodal/ML integration, manipulation of clinical data under an ethical framework are an asset.
