Base pay range
TASCHEN seeks an experienced and commercially driven Sales Representant to join our international sales team, managing and expanding our key accounts in France. The role focuses on building strong relationships with French B2B clients, including major retailers, e-commerce platforms, and independent partners, with special emphasis on the publishing and book trade sectors.
Your tasks

Manage and grow key accounts in the French market across all major distribution channels
Lead complex B2B negotiations and develop long-term client partnerships
Analyze sales data and financial simulations to drive performance and profitability
Monitor market trends and competition within the publishing and media landscape

Your profile

Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Sales, or a related field (bac+3 or equivalent)
Proven experience as a Key Account Manager or Sales Manager in a competitive product‑driven environment
Strong knowledge of the publishing industry and book market in France – experience in the editorial/book sector is highly preferred
Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken) – additional languages are a plus
Expertise in B2B negotiation techniques and navigating complex sales processes
Solid understanding of the French retail landscape, including food/non‑food distribution, online retail, and specialty stores
Analytical mindset with a performance‑ and results‑oriented approach
Collaborative team player with the ability to lead without direct authority
Willingness to travel extensively, with an expected travel volume of approximately 20 weeks per year
