V&V Test specialist for aircraft control and assistance
Join the Airbus UpNext team in Saint Martin, Toulouse. This CDI‑C contract is linked to the demonstrator deliverable (estimated September 2026) and starts ASAP.
Airbus UpNext is developing Optimate, a smart automation solution for commercial aircraft that assists pilots, protects aircraft and reduces crew workload. Your role will focus on verifying and validating the functions that drive pilot assistance and aircraft control/software.
Mission
The system under test is a custom hardware embedded in the A350‑1000 that feeds data to the software and interfaces with aircraft systems.
Responsibilities
Conduct integration tests of Optimate software
Verify and validate assistance functions from data storage to integrated operation
Configure closed‑loop simulation with synthetic imagery on the test rig to validate integrated functions
Prepare test scenarios for Optimate functions including the HMI
Perform tests in a simulated environment
Prepare and validate means for automated non‑regression testing
Participate in test sessions on integration means with the Optimate team to validate integration and functional behaviour with aircraft systems
Analyze test results on various platforms
Write test reports for successive software versions
Document findings and follow up progress
What you bring
Knowledge of system development and integration testing (system engineering)
Data‑analysis skills or experience testing data‑driven models
Background in aircraft systems and aeronautical engineering for test analysis
Methodical and curious, willing to push the boundaries of testing a demonstrator
Fast learning, autonomous
Knowledge of ROS 2 environment is a plus
Passion for technology and science
Eagerness to propose simpler and efficient ways of working
