Job Summary
Execution of the commercialization process of new products, playing a bridge between development stage and the first production launch, ensuring smooth execution and full compliance with HELE’s quality standards.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Sample Review

Review and give comments for DDPR3 samples. Collaborate with Designers, Developers, and Sample Room to identify risks and make recommendations for manufacturing best practices.
Inline inspection and comments for Buy Ready Sample (BRS).
Set up FMEA to prevent potential quality issues.
Review pilot samples, review CAPA input from factory, and confirm vendor feedback before Pre‑Production Meetings (PPM).
Ensure all records (Technical Record, CAPA) are updated on Smartsheet.

First Production Launch

Verify that the first lots meet BRS, specifications, and quality standards by setting Pre‑Production Meeting, pilot samples check, and top‑sample follow‑up.
Coordinate with Production Material to resolve material issues.
Conduct inline, final AQL inspection.
Investigate and solve quality issues, including root cause analysis.
Raise and issue inline change if necessary.
Review production package before handover to QC/QA team.

Quality & Vendor Management

Ensure consistent quality during mass production at multiple vendors.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Train vendors on CAPA processes.
Provide timely reporting on quality and production status for upper management.

Authority & Working Relationships
Key Collaborations

Internal: CT Team, Quality Team, Development Team, Sample Room, Design, Production, Materials, Planning, Costing.
External (T1 & T2): Factory QA/QC, Sales, Merchandisers, Line Technicians, Production Managers.

Authority

Authorized to raise and issue change requests based on quality issues or production risks.

Qualifications

Education: Four‑year college degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience directly involving production and quality. Backpack brands experience is a plus.
Detail and product focused.
Practical experience in manufacturing leadership and team management preferred.
Technically proficient with an interest in reporting and systems.
Team player capable of effectively collaborating and communicating across multiple departments.
Pro‑active self‑starter. Innovative and creative thinker.
Good written and verbal English skills.
MS Office skills.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: Salary dependent on experience and qualifications.
Paid Time‑Off (PTO): 15 days, plus holidays.
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package. Lunch provided five days a week.

Required Meetings and Time/Travel

Participation in all department and general company meetings/functions, and others relating to special assignments, as required.
May be required to work outside of normal work hours or attend offsite training/business functions.

Travel

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
