The hotel, restaurant and bar
Langley Resort Fort Royal is a spacious resort located in Guadeloupe. It is situated along a dreamlike beach, just outside the charming town of Deshaies. The hotel contains one main building as well as a bungalow area. The resort also offers plenty of different excursions, activities, kids club and tennis lessons.
The restaurant at Fort Royal serves international cuisine with local influences for breakfast and dinner in buffet style with an open kitchen area where the chefs are preparing the food in front of our guests. The beach bar serves a wide range of drinks and simple meals/snacks while the a la carte lunch is served in the restaurant, there is also a bar located next to the restaurant area. We strive to use local products as much as possible to reduce our impact on the environment.
General job description:
The primary objective is to train all service staff members concerned within your areas and to develop the skills and ability of these staff to handle guest situations properly in an efficient and courteous manner in accordance with Langley policies and procedures.
Be responsible for offering our guests fast, efficient, and friendly service in accordance with Langley hotels standard. Ensure maximum guest satisfaction in order to increase sales by encouraging repeat business.
What you will do:

Develop and implement innovative plans and objectives for your department, aligned with Langley’s vision of exceptional hospitality.
Secure a consistent, high-quality guest experience by upholding Langley’s renowned core standards in every detail of our restaurant & bar.
Supervise, direct, and inspire your team while actively participating in service to ensure every guest enjoys the Langley touch.
Maximize sales and cost efficiency in our beverage units, keeping costs within set guidelines while never compromising on quality.
Train and motivate your team in upselling, turning every interaction into an opportunity for delight and revenue.
Suggest, plan, and execute exciting activities and special events that elevate the guest experience and bring the Langley spirit to life.
Be the go-to problem solver for guests and staff, ensuring smooth service and a positive atmosphere at all times.
Manage stock and inventory for beverages, cleaning materials, and restaurant supplies with precision and care.
Ensure all staff handle allergies and dietary requirements with the utmost respect and attention.
Secure and coordinate weekly schedules for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and bar making sure every shift runs like clockwork.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of similar work experience within the restaurant and bar department
EU passport or working VISA allowing you to work in France
English is necessary, French is a big plus
Experience in working in a multicultural environment
Active lifestyle and enjoying working in a high tempo environment
