Join to apply for the Manager - Compliance Solutions role at Habitat for Humanity International.Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) is currently seeking a talented risk compliance professional for the role of a Manager – Compliance Solutions. This individual will provide leadership in guiding affiliates through transitions involving disaffiliation or dissolution, whether voluntary or involuntary. This role balances operational oversight with direct case management, ensuring alignment with HFHI’s broader organizational goals. The Manager drives team performance through targeted coaching, goal-setting, and continuous improvement, while maintaining accountability for case outcomes, stakeholder engagement, and data integrity.This is a pivotal role in the coordination of high-risk and complex operational elements. The Manager serves as a thought-partner and decision-maker in navigating sensitive affiliate relationships, mitigating organizational risk, and ensuring compliance with governance standards. Their leadership directly influences the integrity and continuity of the U.S. affiliated network during periods of significant change.This position will be remotely based within the US.Key ResponsibilitiesManage disaffiliation and dissolution protocols and affiliate support through case management and team leadership (55%)Serve as a key liaison between the organization and affiliates undergoing significant transitions, such as disaffiliations, mergers, or crises. Coordinate with various internal departments to ensure seamless support and effective problem-solving during critical high-risk periods.Lead and monitor progress of the team with a strong focus on prioritizing tasks, managing the team’s time efficiently, and leading by example by maintaining an active caseload alongside the team. Depending on volume, this could represent up to 100% of the Manager’s time.Assist with escalated and critical disaffiliation/dissolution casework. Provide guidance in finding legal assistance and/or seeking a neighboring affiliate to accept assets, working with affiliates to resolve issues that hinder dissolution, and coaching affiliates by providing encouragement and project management as needed.Lead team-level analysis and reporting (30%)Collect, analyze, and report on key metrics to assess the team’s progress and effectiveness, recording and analyzing data as it pertains to the work of this group.Review and interpret data related to team projects and caseloads, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.Support US Operations projects and initiatives identified as priority by VP US Operations and Sr Dir Compliance Solutions.Collaborate with HFHI Governance/Risk/Compliance, Legal, Public/Media Relations, Government Relations/Advocacy, and US Office teams, specifically US Expertise Hubs and Affiliate Support Center.Lead or support special projects such as data & trend analysis, technological advancements, quality assurance, and continuous improvements in support of US affiliates.Provide coaching and training for affiliates and various HFHI US dedicated team members to better equip them to manage risk, crises, and conflicts (10%)Deliver training sessions and develop resources to enhance affiliates’ ability to handle risk, crises, and conflicts.Mentor and support team members in applying best practices and compliance standards.Collaborate within, support or lead other projects and initiatives as assigned (5%)Engage with cross-functional teams to advance organizational goals and compliance initiatives.Take ownership of projects that enhance HFHI’s compliance framework and risk management.Key RequirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent.At least 3-5 years of professional experience conducting organizational risk assessments.Experience with nonprofit governance and compliance, legal/regulatory knowledge, and some financial acumen.Experience with mergers, closures, or restructuring is highly valuable.Active Support Of HFHI Values & CommitmentsHumility – We are part of something bigger than ourselves.Courage – We do what’s right, even when it is difficult or unpopular.Accountability – We take personal responsibility for Habitat’s mission.SafeguardingHFHI requires that all employees take seriously their ethical responsibilities to safeguarding our intended beneficiaries, their communities, and all those with whom we work.
